Education

The Welsh Assembly Government has allocated a further £25million from in-year reserves for 2010/11.
Extra pressure in the current year has been caused by a rise in the number of students in 2009/10 and 2010/11. At the same time there was an increase in the number of students eligible for means-tested grants. (http://wales.gov.uk/newsroom/educationandskills/2010/101209tuition/?lang=en)

For the Britain, the government send this information to every student in the world. I think this is very happy things for student in every country. Britain has to allocate the money to support education, I think to study in the school's children to say,  it is a very encouraging things.

For students, this information could attract more overseas students come to study. On the other hand, this things also improve the UK pay a attention to the education.

I am delighted that this extra money is being allocated to help ease the strain on student finances. As the Assembly Government tries to protect education spending following the worst financial settlement since the advent of devolution this funding increase recognises the increase in student numbers this year.

Parliament and Govement

Government

The government runs the country. It has responsibility for developing and implementing policy and for drafting laws. It is also known as the Executive.

Parliament

Parliament is the highest legislative authority in the UK. It has responsibility for checking the work of government and examining, debating and approving new laws. It is also known as the Legislature.

1.How do you become a member of parliament?
First: Candidates must be 18 or older and a citizen of the U.K., a Commonwealth country or the Republic of Ireland.

Second:A candidate must then get at least ten registered voters from the district he or she plans to run in, and then 500 pounds.

Third:The deposit is a measure designed to discourage frivolous candidacies, and is returned only if the candidate polls at least 5 percent of the vote.

 

2.What is the cabinet?

A Cabinet is a body of high ranking members of the government, typically representing the executive branch. It can also sometimes be referred to as the Council of Ministers, an Executive Council, or an Executive Committee.

Bonfire Night

About Bonfire Night the tradition of Guy Fawkes-related bonfires actually began the very same year as the failed coup. The Plot was foiled in the night between the 4th and 5th of November 1605. Preparations for Bonfire Night celebrations include making a dummy of Guy Fawkes, which is called "the Guy". Some children even keep up an old tradition of walking in the streets, carrying "the Guy" they have just made, and beg passersby for "a penny for the Guy." The kids use the money to buy fireworks for the evening festivities.

Halloween

Each year on November 1, October 31 is Halloween. Usually called Halloween (Halloween). UK 's flag

My favorite book is King Lear that Lear William Shakespeare is one of the most famous tragedy, it may be written in 1605, based on a legend story before the time the Romans, the British King Lear, the story about the King's poems and plays, ji in Shakespeare's time there already before.

UK's life

I come UK have three months ago, just receive here and I have many thing feel not habit. Such as: different food , use english guide, face to face a new country culture and so on. But now, I just begin to adapt UK's life. I can try to use english talk about with my new friends and into a restaurant to order dishes. Therefore, I  change many life's habit and I try to understand more about UK culture. I wish I can do best everything.
